Ziai Guo envisions designers as catalysts for change, harnessing creativity and empathy to shape innovative solutions that resonate deeply. With an undergraduate degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Ziai's art and design study journey encompasses various mediums, including art & technology practices, digital textiles, fashion, and public space and light. These mediums served as her outlets and storyboards for expressing her discontent with society.

Driven by the question of how her observations can be realized in more impactful ways, Ziai deliberately shifted her focus from art to interaction design, aiming to leverage her empathy for a greater purpose. Her goal is to make a tangible impact on the world and its inhabitants. Furthermore, she champions the rights of marginalized individuals, exploring the design space to address issues such as information transparency, data fairness, and user experience. Her focus extends to tackling dietary and physical health problems resulting from other stakeholders' neglect of user needs. At the same time, she is dedicated to environmental sustainability and firmly believes in the transformative power of technology integrated with design to restore and improve our living environment.

In her leisure moments, Ziai finds solace in the art world, where she enjoys the creative process of drawing and painting. She enjoys collecting discarded fragments from her daily life repurposing them into captivating pieces of artwork. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Ziai is a devoted culinary enthusiast. She takes great pleasure in immersing herself in diverse cultures and their culinary traditions, constantly seeking out new recipes to explore.
